Clint Severson and Conni Ahart have created a legacy of philanthropic giving in the Minot community. The footprints of their kindness can be found in every corner of our community. We are honored and eternally grateful to have them as supporters and friends of Souris Valley Animal Shelter.

Our Name
Clint and Conni’s support was instrumental in the construction of our new building and to the creation of a veterinary clinic within the walls of our shelter.
In honor of their unwavering support of our shelter animals and the field of veterinary medicine, we are elated to share that the Severson Ahart Community Clinic will be opening its doors in January 2025 to care for homeless companion animals in our shelter and to serve the veterinary care needs of companion animals in our community.
About Clint & Conni
Clint Severson was born and raised in Minot.
After graduation from Minot State University, he took a sales job with Dow Diagnostics which located him in California. His career in Medical Diagnostics took him through several companies before landing at Abaxis.
Abaxis manufactured and sold diagnostic instruments for both the Medical and Veterinary Market.
In working with Veterinarians, Clint became interested in Shelter Medicine. Diagnostic Blood Tests are vital to the Veterinarian in treating an animal with no medical history, such as shelter animals.
Proper treatment means an animal, who may have been euthanized, can recover and find a forever home.
Together, Clint and Conni are proud to support the SVAS Animal Shelter Clinic.
